When the Castlevania Movie succumbed to the gentle embrace of common sense and died, I made the terrible mistake of recommending that Konami blast the script into several pieces and then secret them in haunted mansions so they’d never be reunited. Well, it’s comeuppance time, because someone (I can only assume it was a Belmont) evidently went and retrieved those pieces and resurrected the script.
I guess that every 100 years, the Castlevania movie is resurrected by humans, who wish to pay it tribute. This time, however, things are looking up as it’ll be directed and co-written by James Wan (Saw, Dead Silence). Wan has promised to stick closer to the Castlevania core, though it probably bears mentioning that the inclusion of whips and vampires would be a step in the right direction from the last script.

I am sure Wan will be true to his promise that he will stick closer to the Castlevania core. Let us wait and see.
