Blizzard is apparently trying to change the acronym MMORPG to mean Massively Monetized Online Role Playing Game. Gamasutra reports that the developer has opened a new pet store as a branch of the greater Blizzard store. The first virtual offerings available will be a Pandaren Monk and an impossibly cute miniature Kel’Thuzad. The pets are strictly cosmetic, though Li’l K.T. will demoralize your PvP foes by laughing at them.
The catch? Each pet will be a whopping $10. Blizzard will be trying to ease the sticker shock by donating half the Pandaren proceeds to the Make a Wish Foundation between now and December 31. I assume that the sales of Kel’Thuzad be consumed to recoup the R&D to develop a chibi skeleton.

sounds like they’re trying to copy perfect world’s business model. Although the more expensive items that you actually purchase on that game had in effect as well as being cosmetic. Strictly cosmetic things such as clothes tend to cost a lot less.
Actually, I’ve really gotten into playing Dungeons & Dragons online. Somebody put a lot of love into that game. I’m amazed that they made a lot of it free.
