Charlotte Aulin

Background: Grew up with Jonathan Morris. Intelligent, but a little too confident in her book smarts. Talks a lot and sticks her nose into others’ business. She takes a logical approach to everything, so she comes off as unemotional. Has great magic power, and is seen as the potential final weapon in the battle against Dracula. –Excerpted from Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin

Advancement: Charlotte has a chance to absorb certain attacks when they strike her shield (personal skill button). Absorbed attacks are written as spells into her Book of Binding. The Book of Binding can seal a maximum of nine copies of each spell, and Charlotte gains Mastery from each copy. Like all characters, Charlotte grows stronger as her Mastery increases.

Main Menu: Although Charlotte can absorb spells from many of Castlevania’s denizens, she can only equip four at a time as Hunter skills. All of Charlotte’s hunter skills grow more powerful as her mastery increases, and each spell gains an extra bonus as you obtain more copies.

Charlotte can equip armor from the Shop and armor that drops from enemies and treasure chests. However, the Book of Binding is a little too unwieldy to carry even a light blade. Charlotte relies instead on the book’s intrinsic magics to conjure ethereal blades from between its pages.
